Quiz Night 2019

Our Quiz Night at the Chesterfords Community Centre was held on Saturday 16th March when 13 teams comprising some 90 people enjoyed some serious but fun quizzing. The winners were The Old Neighbours who pipped Jerryhatricks by just one point. A further 4 points behind in joint 3rd place were Roman Remains and Conquiztadors. A thoroughly enjoyable evening which raised a handsome net profit of £996 which will go towards club funds. 

                                                                                   Gala Day 2019

On Sunday 16th June 12 teams competed in a variety of singles, pairs, triples and fours. Melbourn who have won the Bruce Elliott Memorial Shield for the past two years were undefeated in all their matches and were therefore clear winners of the shield and first prize of £150. In 2nd place, winning £100 were Comberton and 3rd Cornard, Sudbury who picked up a cheque for £50. Huge thanks to Mike and Kay Flack who organised the event and those members who helped with refreshments and washing up during the day. The club also appreciates sponsorship from Plextek, HSA Accountants and Alun Design Consultancy, also Springwell Nursery for donating a wonderful hanging basket for the raffle.
