Saturday 1st July saw the club holding it’s special Centenary Day which was a huge success. Around 100 adults and children including 18 members had a fabulous time in perfect weather conditions. variation of bowling games was held on the green, these all proving hugely popular. A Presidents team played a conventional game of bowls on 2 rinks against a team of members. Lots of cakes, drinks and hot dogs were consumed during the afternoon. Abbie, aka Captain Fun of Big Red Door entertained children with crafts in the Summer House. The afternoon was rounded off with the 5 piece SW ‘Ukes playing and singing traditional and modern songs. Overall a superb afternoon enjoyed by all those who joined in. See the Gallery page for lots of photos taken by Stephen Parkinson.
The weekend concluded with the House Pairs on Sunday, the results of which are on the Competitions page.
